MODERN JAZZ BASS NECK WITH "C" PROFILE

Duff McKagan’s signature Precision Bass model features the unusual distinction of having a slim modern Jazz Bass neck with a comfortable "C" profile (the shape of the neck in cross section). You get the best of both instruments—pulverizing Precision sound and style with the fast fretting-hand feel of a Jazz Bass.

 

TBX™ TONE CIRCUIT

The Duff McKagan Precision Bass has a control knob that activates its TBX (Treble Bass Expander) tone circuitry. The center-detent knob works like a normal tone control from zero to the detent. Turning the knob clockwise from the detent increases presence and brightness, while turning it counterclockwise from the detent rolls off high frequencies.

 

"P/J" PICKUP CONFIGURATION

The Duff McKagan Precision Bass features the tonally versatile combination of a pummeling split single-coil Precision Bass® middle pickup and a bright, growling Jazz Bass® single-coil bridge pickup, widely known in bass guitar circles as a "P/J" pickup configuration.
